2019 Travel and tourism week in texas

National Travel & Tourism Week

Great news - Texas continues to be one of the top travel destinations in the United States!

The value of travel to and within Texas affects every Texan. Without travel, each Texan household would pay an additional $740 in state and local taxes to make up for the loss of revenue. Additionally, travel supports one out of every ten Texas jobs. For the 2018 economic impact of tourism data, please visit our interactive economic impact website.

In early May, Texas, along with travel industry workers across the country will celebrate the annual National Travel and Tourism Week. This year’s theme, “Travel Matters” highlights the travel industry's continued economic and sociological impact on communities not only within the great state of Texas but across the entire nation.
